You gotta have some fun,, or lots of fun

Monday... again, the beginning of the week.. I got a very busy week ahead of me and I'm hoping that the weekend will come around the corner before I knew it.

Well, I think it is because of the weather in Toronto today that I am feeling a bit down. Unlike the yesterday's beautiful weather, we got tons of snow.. Where all the snow came from!? Anyhow, I gotta keep the happy mood as always. Whenever I am a bit down, music is the perfect cure for me.

I posted two videos today. It is Hiromi playing in both of them. she is AMAZING. Not only her unbelievable techniques that just wow me, but only she is the happiest person on the earth when she plays the piano. She just makes me happy just by watching her playing. AMAZING. Thank you so much Jon for introducing her music.

The second video that i posted is a song played by Ayaka and Hiromi. it is in Japanese, but I love when they collaborate. The song is called "Okaeri" (Welcome home) it is a very warm song!

anyhow, i hope everyone can be a bit happier watching these videos! a bit gift from me :) my philosophy; always ends with a happy note no matter how harsh/ bad the day was.

March will be an amazing month!!

Saturday night.... while waiting for my friends to drop by at my place, I thought I would just share how excited I am for the month of March. Not only I can't wait for this spring to come, but also, there will so many gigs that I would LOVE to go.

I am going to see MUSE, Butch Walker, HOT HOT HEAT, and the Canadian Music Festival between march 10th to 14th. During this festival, I am hoping to see Copelands, (it is gonna be the very last gig!!), HOT HOT HEAT, the Rural Alberta Advantage, the Wooden Sky, Plants and Animals, and so forth.

this festival has 700 bands/artists playing over the week. but the hardest thing is, to decide which bands to see. unfortunately, a lot of my favorite bands are playing on the same nights, especially on Friday and Saturday.. well, I will make sure to pick the best ones and post all the gig reviews!

here is the link to the event. if you will be in Toronto during the festival, it is worthy to check out some indie bands. it is very reasonablly priced , too!!

So I am most definetely going to see HOT HOT HEAT on Friday night. I have fallen love with their tune since,,, 2004, when their hit song, Goodnight, Goodnight hits the Much music.. after the support from Butch walker and other famous producer, they have released a new album, Happiness. LTD. now they have new 2 songs posted on their Youtube page, and I am hoping that their new album will come out very soon.

here is the one of the new songs posted on youtube. Enjoy!

Johnny Alexander

Before I knew it, the month of February is half way done. Where did the month go, seriously?
Things have been settled down for a bit compared to the last month when I just got back from Japan and started my new semester. I am in the middle of reading week although I just had an exam, which is completely weird. Tomorrow is only my day off, thinking of what I am gonna do, yet, i forgot my phone at work. how sucky it is..

Well, I had an opportunity to see this awesome band twice recently. The band is called, Johnny Alexander. They are from Toronto, and once you hear their music, you gotta dance!!

When I first saw them at the Toronto show with the nostalgic high school-tune, Wide Mouth Mason at the Rivoli, they completely brew my mind. Very catchy groovy sounds with amazing guitar soles. Solid rhythm with the Strong bass lines. More flavour is added by the sax and the back vocal. I was speechless when i saw them. Well, luckily enough, I found out that the band was playing again at the Mod Club. So i had decided to go there with a bunch of friends of mine. and you know, we LOVED them, My friend Bryan had a chance to talk with Johnny, the main singer, and he was super nice.

well, I have posted their My space site and their video of ">
