CMW Preview: Indian Handcrafts

It's almost surreal that this year's Canadian Music Week is less than a month away. The festival is held between March 21th-25th across the city. As to celebrate its 20th anniversary, they've put together a gorgeous lineup including Slash, The Temper Trap and much more. The glamourous bill may seem overwhelming to some of you. But don't worry; we've got you covered! Music Psychos will introduce great bands from today onwards for you to be ahead of the game.

After playing together for over a decade, Barrie Ontario based rock duo, Indian Handcrafts has been buzzed since the release of their self-titled debut album in 2011. They are one of the acts that you definitely don't want to miss out, especially if you need to sweat out with hard rock music. The chemistry between Brandyn James Aikins (Vocal/Drums) and Daniel Brandon Allen (Guitar) is impeccable- The heavy distorted guitar jams and punk drum rhythm linger in ear, leaving a distinctive impression of their technical skills. The sounds that the duo craft hint at an influence from Death From Above 1979 and Metz.

Indian Handcrafts will perform at Lee's Palace on March 22nd (Wristbands accepted). If you are also heading down to SXSW, you can catch them on Friday March 16th at Bat Bar.
